She literally became my favourite aes sedai after this book. Learning about the non aes sedai side of moiraine made me love her even more. I swear we never got any from the main series that I remember of. I love Moiraine and learning her past before her arrival at 2 rivers. New spring is a nice little detour from the main story.
Read it after book 5 or 10 or in between.
I hope no one reads it as their 1st book lmao. I'd say you should only read this book if you're really into wheel of time, it's not really necessary but it can give you insight on some major characters. But it still contains spoilers from 1st 2 books. I'm gonna mention characters from the 1st 2 books, so you can say it's just a spoiler free reaction to the book with some mentions you probably won't get unless you've read the books. There's not really any spoiler free and filled sections of it. I'll write a review for knife of dreams soon. But I wanted to start knife of dreams so bad I ended up finishing it before writing this lol.
